According to the City of Oakland’s Encampment Management Policy, ‘camps cannot exist on city land within 500 yards of a city shelter or “Safe RV site”’.

So the day that this lot is set to open may be the same day that the city-owned street side of Wood Street is facing the threat of illegal eviction.
